Have you ever felt like your emotions were "too much"?
Have you suppressed your feelings in favor of how you're "expected" to behave?
Have you ever wanted to scream or cry and felt there was nowhere to go?
Me too.
The truth is- those emotions have not gone anywhere. Your body has held on to them as stuck, stagnant energy.
And the result? Maybe you often feel triggered, or dysregulated. Maybe you have a hard time slowing down or sitting still. Maybe you feel tired or achy. Maybe you're often overwhelmed. Maybe you feel constantly on edge.
Know this- you are not alone. There is nothing "wrong" with you.
We've grown in a culture that has taught us that in order to be safe, we must be quiet... in order to be valued, we must be productive... in order to be liked, we must be perfect and smile.
This is the great lie.
Our communities, our collective, our Mother Earth needs you - dear Women - more than ever to RISE and use your voice. But your transformation cannot come without moving through your darkness... like the lotus or the butterfly... or really anything you see in nature.
On this journey, you will feel and express these trapped emotions so you can make more space for your rebirth.
Here is what you can expect:
- Somatic exercises to ground into the space.
- A deep meditation to become more intimate with your internal felt senses, the language of your body- which will guide you to what may be stuck and what is calling for liberation.
- Journaling practice to capture what your body has shown you.
- Free-flow, non-linear movement - using pillars of embodiment- breath, awareness, touch, movement, sound - you will have the opportunity to feel and fully express what is stuck in your body, using your own wisdom and knowing to guide you.
- Safe community and sisterhood.
What to bring:
- Yoga mat
- Journal and your favorite pen
- Water or other nourishing drink
What to consider:
- Blanket or cushion for the knees (our movement practice is mainly done on hands and knees)
- Dress in layers
- Cushion for being seated cross legged if your body calls (we're not there long)
Join us with your dear and tender heart.
