Feminine Essence & Flow is a body-led movement practice that brings the awareness down from the mind and into the currents of sensation of the body – our internal felt senses. Moving with and from our internal felt senses can help release frozen tension and emotion that may be stored in the body, reconnect with pleasure, and ignite our feminine energy so we can feel a greater sense of flow, ease, and radiance. Come home to the body, come home to yourself!
What to expect during the class:
Establishing safety: Somatic practices to ground and feel a sense of safety in the body, calm the nervous system, and connect with the space and fellow participants.
Dropping-in to the body: Brief meditation – either seated or lying down - to bring the energy down from the mind and into the body, and begin to tap into the body’s wisdom.
Body-led movement: Non-linear, non-scripted movements led by your body’s sensations, emotions, pleasures, or desires.
With music as a backdrop and subtle guidance, you will have permission and allowing to explore touch, sound, breath, and the full spectrum of movement and expression in a safe, judgment-free space.
Rest, journal, and share: Full restorative rest in your most nourishing position, followed by an opportunity to journal about your body’s insights, and space to share insights in sisterhood.
What some women have shared about their experience:
I felt like a lion!
I had beautiful visionsI am so calm and relaxed
I’ve never experienced that before
I felt like I was holding myself
I needed that cry but I didn’t know I needed it
What to know…
There’s no right or wrong way to do this, and there is no experience necessary.
Bringing our awareness out of our minds and into our bodies can be hard, and you may experience some resistance, and that’s absolutely ok. It’s just how our mind works!
We spend time on our hands and knees or forearms and knees, but in this space you are free to move and reposition in whatever way works for your body.
We come together to welcome and hold every part of you that may arise as you practice. As your guide, I will be available to you at any time.
Come as you are, all are welcome! Wear clothes you can comfortably move in, bring a yoga mat, blanket or padding for your knees if you like, journal, and some water.
Cost: $20
